The perfect salt cellar
Date: January 23, 2010
"The salt cellars are amazing. Heavy, high-quality glass. Looks like something that was on my grandmother's stove when I was a child.
It's a generous size so your hand or measuring spoon can fit inside to grab a pinch or a teaspoon full of salt.
I purchased two, one for salt and one for pepper.
The lid doesn't seal, but that's good; a sealed lid requires two hands to open; this way you can keep one hand stirring the pot while the other hand easily grabs a pinch.
I loved them so much I gave two as a gift and got two more for myself."

Nice Size
Date: December 7, 2009
"This salt celler is a really nice size... you can pinch from it as well as pick it up and lightly sift over a large pot. (No strainer, just BE careful!) The SALT word doesn't really show up that well when full. I like that it is covered... we have critters in our home."

A pinch of salt
Date: November 28, 2009
"This little salt cellar is sooooo cute! It reminds me of the old antique cellar my Gramma had. It's the perfect size and weight. Very good quality. Like the others said though...careful with the lid!"

Fun Product
Date: November 24, 2009
"I've been looking for a salt cellar of sorts forever. This one is fun and looks nice. The only negative is that the lid just sets on, no seal. Not the end of the world though. Just keep it away from the 3 year old when he wants to "cook"."

Great Find!
Date: November 11, 2009
"I wanted a salt pig/cellar with a lid and this is perfect. The glass lid does not seal tightly, it works more like a cover lid and helps keep moisture out."

Handy
Date: November 4, 2009
"I love my new salt cellar. I am getting braver with my cooking and like things at hand. I keep this right by my stove and have my kosher salt handy. Now a pinch of salt is just that, a pinch of salt! Simple and sophisticated looking too."

Try New Salts!
Date: June 19, 2009
"I love this Salt Cellar, because not only is it a great way to try new salts that chefs are using more and more these days, but it keeps them beautifully preserved in the clear glass. That way, you can utilize multiple boxes for different kinds of salt or just make display of it and put it in the middle of the table for guests to oh and ah over."

Salt holder
Date: June 12, 2009
"I thought the glass would be made of a thicker and heavier consistency.
Good product overall I just think it would have been nicer if the glass was a bit thicker. Also wish the lid had a knob on it to make it easier to take the lid off the container.

Great Value and Practical
Date: May 27, 2009
"This is a great salt cellar to put near where you cook as the lid is not air-tight and therefore provides easy access to the content inside. The classic vintage look from Anchor Hocking is timeless. My only gripe about this is that it is quite large--at 10-oz--that makes it too big for the specialty salts that are bought in small quantities."
