handsome cabinet
Date: January 6, 2010
"LOVE IT!! Have had my eye on this for quite sometime. Now I can look at it from the comfort of my home. It is as handsome a piece as I imagined. Took about one hour to assemble. Not difficult but does require 2 hands. Someone to hold the furniture & someone to scew the pieces together. It is a solid /sturdy good looking cabinet. Looking at the 62" cabinet to support a recent TV purchase. A good find @ a fair price!!!"

Great cabinet, solid construction
Date: January 6, 2010
"My husband and I assembled this a few days ago and he kept commenting about how well constructed it was. It looks great, and compared to similar items I was looking at, the price was excellent. My only (very minor) complaint is that the doors don't line up exactly, and there's a slight gap above the right door and the handles are slightly uneven. But the cabinet is black and this is barely noticeable, especially by anyone else. Overall we're extremely pleased with our purchase."

"I am very happy with the value of this product. It feels sturdy; it holds a lot and displays it nicely. Assembly was straight-forward; two people put it together in about an hour. Delivery was scheduled and they were on-time."

Excellent for small entryways
Date: January 4, 2010
"We have an entryway that was in need of a bench and storage, but we only have 24 inches of space. We purchased 2 of these benches, and they fill the space beautifully without overcrowding the walkspace.
It took 1.25 hours to put together the first bench by myself and another hour to put together the second one. There is one glitch in the instructions, but it is very minor. According to the instructions, you need to insert all of the wooden pegs into one of the square, upright pieces as well as the horizontal piece it fits into, but in a prior step, you would have already placed enough wooden pegs to fill all the available holes.
As of Dec 2009, the matching baskets are backordered until Feb 2010. Waiting for those baskets to finish the space!"

beautiful piece of furniture
Date: January 3, 2010
"I am overall extremely happy with this purchase - it is a beautiful, functional media console that holds alot of equipment. The style would blend well with nearly all interior designs. It was straightforward and easy to put together, very well made. Minor hitches: my blu ray player just barely fit depth wise and the design of the cord vents/ports had some cords just barely making it to the outlet. Still, I am overall impressed and would make this purchase again."

Good value for the money
Date: December 29, 2009
"I bought this companion piece for my small laundry room. Perfect size. Lots of storage, and I like the versatility of the piece. In the future, I can use it in the kitchen or bedroom/office to store books. Bright white color. It really organized my laundry room."

Awesome!
Date: December 5, 2009
"Very well constructed! Beautiful piece of furniture...have ordered a second to compliment it. The only critique I have is that I had to cut a hole in the back panel to put cords through, as I am using it to house my DVD player and some entertainment components as well as the DVDs, etc..."

Perfect TV stand
Date: November 29, 2009
"I was looking for a taller stand for an LCD TV that had glass doors and could also double as a bookcase. I was limited to a maximum of 46 inches in width. After looking in furniture stores and online for over a year now I finally find this perfect unit!!! I have placed a 40 inch LCD on top and the DVD player and U-verse controller behind the glass doors. Works out perfectly and looks like I spent much more. I am very happy with the purchase. You will have to cut your own hole for cabling in the back but simple enough. Would highly recommend this product. Remember-black goes with everything!"

Tough Interior Layout
Date: November 22, 2009
"The layout of the interior of this piece is hard to use. The fixed shelf is too low where you can only put odd sized items below it and it makes the space above it tough to use as well. My recommendation would be to make both shelves adjustable. The piece is unusable to me as it is currently configured."

Great Value
Date: November 21, 2009
"I originally saw this cabinet in a Crate and Barrel retail store and loved it. I was shocked to see how inexpensive it was compared to other cabinets as it seemed to be a solidly constructed piece. When I found it online I discovered it was inexpensive due to the assembly required factor. I went ahead and made my purchase and I'm extremely happy I did. The directions were clear and and easy to follow. Patience is a necessity in any furniture assembly, and the pieces are extremely solid and heavy so there are times you need an extra set of arms (as the instructions advise). I would recommend this piece to anyone- It's a great value."

Excellent buy
Date: November 12, 2009
"We purchased this piece in black to use as a china cabinet for our smallish dining room and are very pleased with its style, size, quality, and capacity. Our white bone china looks particularly impressive against the black lacquer finish, but darker colors and crystal tend to be less noticeable. The arts and crafts details make an otherwise contemporary piece seem more transitional/traditional, and it would easily be at home in several different rooms. The storage capacity is amazing for a piece this size, and the 3/4 inch MDF shelves are quite sturdy. We have 13 five-piece place settings, numerous china and stoneware serving pieces, tons of crystal vases, candlesticks, wine carafes, and other table top odds and ends, plus a full flatware chest, all stored inside, with room to spare. Assembly was relatively easy and took roughly 2.5 hours including a quick break for lunch.
Some issues to note: First, it did take 2 people for a few of the steps, as the directions indicate, so do not attempt putting this together solo. Second, the hardware is antiqued bronze, but I would not say that a "warm" bronze tone is the predominate color. Rather, it very antiqued in a dark, cool finish. However, the hardware color works well with the brushed and antiqued nickel hardware on our other furniture, so this is not a drawback for us. Last, there is a moderate off-gassing odor that is beginning to fade away after having the cabinet for over two weeks. I have left the doors open for several hours each day to help it continue to evaporate, but we have no children or pets to worry about. Hopefully, the smell will go away completely over time.
This cabinet easily rivals much more pricey furniture, as others have noted, and is an excellent value. Besides the minor issues noted above, I highly recommend it."

Great quality!
Date: October 30, 2009
"I hesitated to purchase this because it had to be put together. How good could it be if it came in pieces? This cabinet is furniture store quality. Beautiful piece. Went together very easily. I would not hesitate to purchase another piece. You will not be disappointed."

So-so
Date: October 26, 2009
"I am very pleased with the appearance of this furniture. However I was quite disappointed that during assembly a chunk of the "engineered wood panel" broke off the back piece. It was at the edge and was not subjected to excessive force at all."

Happy Camper!
Date: August 18, 2009
"This cabinet has turned out to be a great find! You can't beat the price and the quality is great. We had one, small issue with one of the knobs and C&B sent us a new one immediately. Wonderful!
It's suprisingly good looking and very easy to assemble. It did take two of us to do that, but we 'd assayed that from other reviews we'd read. We definitely recommend this one!"

Great baby-proof media cabinet
Date: August 10, 2009
"We got this cabinet to house our media equipment in a baby-proof way. The instructions were a little hard to follow causing us to have to undo some assemblage and re-do it, but once together, the piece looks great and does the trick. The knobs allow us to put baby proof ties around them keeping the cabinet safely locked. The electronics still work through the glass doors though placement so the infared still works is required. Overall, we're quite happy with this purchase."
