Seguro 68 Media Console
Rustic and modern unite using reclaimed Peroba wood with refined mahogany in a unique design. Seguro has an ebony-stained mahogany frame and a warm mosaic of planed peroba wood in a natural palette of amber, chocolate and fiery tones. Three central drawers are recessed to allow passage for the sliding doors, which conceal four adjustable shelves. Slender mahogany bar pulls on doors and drawers keep ornamentation to a minimum. Designed for media management, this versatile piece functions equally well as a sideboard or buffet. Seguro Media Console
"I purchased the travertine rectangle coffee table, one side table, and the travertine console table. I have wanted these tables since the first time I saw them. I waited a year to purchase them, (I find great comfort in the fact the Crate and Barrel are not always changing things under the line, "new and improved"). I also purchased the seguro media console and I thought mixing the wood and stone would create the feel I was looking for. It definitely did the trick! I love this store and my home wouldn't be what is it with out C&B. My style would be rustic mixed with modern and this cabinet is it! I bought this cabinet just from viewing it online. I love it and get tons of compliments. People always say they love that you can just close the door and see nothing. I also like that I don't have to have any doors open for my accessories to operate, you just slide the door over!
The delivery team did an outstanding job and their attitudes were the best of any delivery people who have been in my home."

Seguro media console
"I wait a whole year to be certain that this media console would be the right one....i looked everywhere, many stores,did compared..and end up with this one.
It's a good looking piece of furniture and modern cut, which is my style.
I was pleasantly surprised by the deliver: on time and very smoothly...the crew were polite and put everything together in minutes. :)
The mahogany with the peroba wood is a great combination..and best of all...the millions of wires from all the electronic devices...they are all hiding now...behind it...very neatly !
I do recommend this piece."

"I wanted this media cabinet for several years and couldn't be more pleased with it. It is great quality, looks better in person then I could have imagined, and the dark area looks more black then brown so it goes great with black furniture. Also, the delivery was perfect. They were on time, set it up and, made sure I was pleased before they left! Couldn't be happier!"

Beautiful. Star of the room
"I really like this media stand because the distressed wood has great texture, but it doesn't look shabby. The polished exterior really gives it a contemporary feel. Can get scratched or dinged, so be careful."

Definitely Worth the Wait!
"I have been looking at this media console for over 3 years, but kept debating due to the price. I finally took the plunge and ordered it in November. It arrived February and the delivery service was wonderful. It is a stunning piece and I could not be happier with the appearance and available storage. I would like to point out that the sliding doors require adjusting and that was not obvious until I removed one and studied the mechanism (you can adjust the rolling mechanism up or down for better contact and fit). Even my kids are excited about this unit! If you are debating, don't - it is worth the price and the wait!"

Worth the wait
"Ordered the console in October and received it in January. It was worth the wait - it looks great in my family room. It was delivered disassembled but the Charlotte store worked with me on the issue. My husband put the item together and Crate and Barrel refunded the delivery fee. My sales person and management was a pleasure to work with."

"I've had this in my great room for about 7-8 months now and still love it. Just had a Super Bowl party a few weeks ago and got a lot of rave reviews on it. Not only is it a pretty face, but it's very functional as well with the sliding doors and 3 drawers in the middle. It's held up very well over the past half year and I expect many more great years from it. Bought the matching square coffee table as well and they make a great pair together."

Disappointed
"I spent a very long time trying to decide on a console. This was the one that I fell in love with. However, when I received the piece I was disappointed with some of the quality. One of the drawers were chipped on the inside and the manufacturer just placed a stopper over the top of the chip. The doors were cracked where the rolling fixtures are mounted because someone tightened the screws too far. One of the handles on the drawer was crooked. The mahogany is also reclaimed and in some spots the stain is not even. I decided to exchange it after much deliberation. C&B and the people at the warehouse were very accommodating and tried to do everything they could. The new console that they had for the exchange was worse quality. So after exchanging some of the pieces from one to the other (which I don't know if they are supposed to do) it was better but I would not buy this piece again if I did it all over."

Top of the charts!
"After looking at this piece for 10 months, finally jumped on the chance to own this gorgeous console during a sale earlier this year, and am I glad I did! Very picky about furniture since it's a many-year investment, so I inspected durability, construction, mechanics (such as doors and drawer slides). Top of the charts on every category, absolutely superb! When it arrived, we were so pleased! It obviously has a unique, stunning look, but it also holds an extraordinary amount of media and peripherals. The doors are used every day and slide perfectly without any issue, and the drawers glide very easily. Substantial piece that anchors the end of our large great room very well. If you're looking for something with a bit of flair, something a little out of the ordinary but still practical, you won't regret this choice!"

Just Lovely
"I just received my Seguro Media Console a few days ago and am very happy with my purchase. The unique design is just fantastic. This is my first furniture purchase from Crate and Barrel as I am pretty picky with the quality of my furnishings ..but was not disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the wood design on each door matches perfectly when opened and even the shelf hangers are high quality also. My one minor complaint is that the openings in the back of the unit are at the bottom of the cabinet which make it difficult to run cables from the top shelf out the back to the TV on top. The cutout placement issue has inhibited my ability to place video and stereo components in optimal locations in the cabinet.
Even though the cabinet is perpetually on backorder due to popularity it is well worth the wait. If you're on the fence about purchasing this console, just do it. You won't regret your choice.
The Seguro media console is one of the best furniture purchases I've made in a longtime. I love the modern unique styling."

great cabinet for my den
"A very sturdy and well made item. This piece fit perfectly on my media wall and has plenty of storage with shelves for electronics and drawers for dvd's and cd's. The large top surface allows ample room for the flat screen with space for decorative items.

Beautiful
"A very beautiful piece of furniture. The reclaimed wood is a very nice look, and "goes with" mix&match other types of wood furniture in a room. I purchased to replace a taller, pocket door, and glass-front media cabinet. This Seguro media console's sliding doors are much easier (and quieter) to open/close than pocket doors - also easier to clean. Yes, you need to slide a door open in order for standard remotes to work with your DVR/cable box, but I think it's much better (a cleaner look) than a glass-front cabinet. The delivery team made sure that all doors and drawers opened/closed smoothly so I wouldn't have to do any setup or adjustments myself."

great purchase
"we had seen the seguro media console at the crate & barrel store for months, always commenting that we liked the reclaimed wood. finally decided there was nothing better out there for the price and purchased the console in november. as always our local customer service rep was very helpful, however the console was on backorder for nearly 2 months (seems like most crate & barrel furniture items are on backorder). as soon as it was delivered we loved it. we've received many compliments on the piece, and it's definitely the highlight of our living room. one downside would be the opening and closing of the doors when you want to watch tv or movie. we resolved this issue by getting an infrared remote so we no longer have to slide open the doors."

Great Media Console - Probably Not Kid Friendly
"My husband and I mounted our TV above the fireplace, so we wanted a media console that didn't look like one. We loved this design because it would hold all of our components and DVDs and had doors to hide them all away.
We're very happy with the purchase, but here are a few things to consider before making the purchase:
1. The drawers look like they'd be deep enough to fit two rows of DVDs. It falls a bit short, so we do one row perpendicular to the other. The drawers also don't pull out all the way so the row in back is difficult to get out. If you're like us, you have movies you rarely watch, so those go in the back.
2. This unit probably isn't kid friendly. In order for the drawers to open the doors have to be pushed all the way to the sides. There's little room for error and I've found a few times where the door was cracked open an inch and the drawer bangs into it. I can see kids trying to open the drawers and banging into the doors (probably repeatedly). ha!
3. Since the unit is closed off, we're worried about the heat for the components. So far we haven't had any problems.
4. Read the care instructions before purchase. There were some unexpected items (like not placing in direct light) that may affect some buyers.
The piece makes a very stylish addition to our living room and we're really please with the look."

beautiful piece!
"This is a beautiful and versatile piece of furniture. We are using it in family room to add a modern touch to a traditional style home. It complements our other furniture beautifully, as the wood tones along with the rustic feel make it very versatile. It is a little darker than the online photo portrays, but still a georgeous piece. Wonderful craftsmanship!
The only problem I had was that one of the sliding doors are tilted a little, but just one call to C&B and we have a replacement piece on its way."

Just what I needed
"I absolutely love this piece. I searched for months for a console that looked modern but would also look at home in our 1880's farmhouse.
This has tons of closed storage to hide/organize the clutter.
It's true you have to leave the door ajar for the remote to work on the satellite boX and it could also use improved ventalization for the equipment but it's a small price to pay for how great it looks and how functional it is!"
