Shun (r) Classic 8-Piece Knife Set
These amazing razor-sharp knives are created in Seki City, Japan's 700-year-old center for samurai swords. Their "ripple" Damascus rust-free finish is achieved by forging 16 layers of steel. Flexible, stick-resistant blades are stamped, hand-ground to an exceptional 16-degree angle, then hand-polished (see additional photos). -High-carbon stainless steel -Rust- and stain-proof -Ergonomic pakka wood "D" handles -Hand wash for best results -Sustainable bamboo knife block

"The first time I held a Shun knife I was sold! Not only do they have a great contemporary look but they are ergonomically correct, the handle fits my small hand perfectly as well as my husband's. They make food prep a joy and effortless, a great splurge if you have the option to upgrade (well worth it), you will never use another knife. Be careful, they are extremely sharp!
I highly recommend this set, the only supplement needed are the steak knives which can be purchased seperately."

"We received this knife set as a wedding gift and have absolutely LOVED Shun. I have had Henckles and Wustof, and these don't even compare. Definitely worth the extra money and would without a doubt recommend. Our 8 piece set includes more than we could need, or you can purchase extra pieces."

"I agonized for some time whether or not to splash out on the Shun knives or whether to go for a cheaper alternative.
I bought the Wusthof knives and got them home, opened the box and realized that I had amade a mistake.
I took them straight back and ordered the left handed Shun knives (yes they come left or right handed).
They took less than two weeks to come to the store and I am really pleased with them. They fit my hands really well and are just so sharp. They make cooking a pleasure."
