These amazing razor-sharp knives are created in Seki City, Japan's 700-year-old center for samurai swords. Their ripple Damascus rust-free finish is achieved by forging 16 layers of steel. Best Knife I've ever owned
"This is the first high end knife I've purchased and it has brought a whole new love of cooking to my kitchen. For years, I've been using inexpensive knives and never knew what I was missing. I love chopping everything in site! It chops smoothly and perfectly. I even love onions and tomatoes. I will never use a low end knife again. This is worth every penny!"

"Absolutely loved the knife! By far the best knife I've ever had the pleasure of holding. Straight out of the box it was literally razor sharp and ready to go. I've been using the knife daily now for about a month and have no problems at all."

Excellent Knifes
"We registered for the Shun 8 piece knife set for our wedding. We could not be happier with them. They are extremely well made, very sharp and very durable. Someone told me that they used to make samurai swords back in the day... don't know if it 's true or not but all the more reason to get them!"

"The first time I held a Shun knife I was sold! Not only do they have a great contemporary look but they are ergonomically correct, the handle fits my small hand perfectly as well as my husband's. They make food prep a joy and effortless, a great splurge if you have the option to upgrade (well worth it), you will never use another knife. Be careful, they are extremely sharp!

"We received this knife set as a wedding gift and have absolutely LOVED Shun. I have had Henckles and Wustof, and these don't even compare. Definitely worth the extra money and would without a doubt recommend. Our 8 piece set includes more than we could need, or you can purchase extra pieces."

So sharp
"I agonized for some time whether or not to splash out on the Shun knives or whether to go for a cheaper alternative.
I bought the Wusthof knives and got them home, opened the box and realized that I had amade a mistake.
I took them straight back and ordered the left handed Shun knives (yes they come left or right handed).
They took less than two weeks to come to the store and I am really pleased with them. They fit my hands really well and are just so sharp. They make cooking a pleasure."
