"I actually bought 6 of these intending to keep 4 and give 2 away to my "Martha Stewart" friend for entertaining and keep 4 for myself. I now realize I only need two as they are actually a very generous size for an individual serving. Each dish will hold 1/2 stick of butter, so I use one one each end of the table and will give 2 to my mother in-law as well. Everyone will be happy and I highly suggest these little butter dishes!!!"

"Now I needed this about like a hole in the head, but saw it on line and just thought it was about the cutest t hing ever. I had ordered four and have found so many uses for them. They are adorable, don't take up too much space on the table and can be used for just about anything. Storage for them is easy . I usually find a way to use them every day just because they are just so darn cute. I love mine! Great buy!"

"Love these little butter dishes. I bought two and wished that I had two more so that I can use in both dining room and kitchen when you have lots of groups. I always get a smile from other people when I use them and I've ended up getting them as housewarming and hostess gifts. Must have...so cute and charming and quite useful!"

"I used these because they were cute to use for a dinner I was having w/ friends. They are very well made, sturdy, and I actually like using them more than just having a stick of butter in a butter dish. It's more convenient because you can just hold the bowl & scoop the butter out. I know, random thought, but figured I'd share. These are absolutely adorable!"

"Although I use these butter dishes for an unusual purpose (holding and storing the distilled water I use while working with precious metal clay or painting with watercolors), I can recommend them for their attractive appearance and their ability to keep air out. In fact, I can store water in them for a week and see little, if any, difference in the water level! They're probably too large for an individual serving of butter, but they'd hold enough to serve 2 or 3 people graciously. I'd buy several and place them at strategic locations around a dinner table when entertaining guests."

Much Larger than Expected!

"Each of these holds over half a stick of butter. Do you know any one person that eats half a stick of butter with dinner? They're much larger than I expected and I wouldn't by any means call them "individual". I bought 8 but really only needed 4 at most. Other than that, they're adorable and I absolutely love them! Good thing they were inexpenstive or I would have been upset to have so many. Now I'll just give them as gifts. :)"

"Not just for dining tables, I keep this dish in regular use on my kitchen counter. It's ideal for keeping small quantities of butter at room temperature for spreading on crackers, toast, whatever. I don't use butter often, so there's no need to keep a whole stick soft. This dish is not too big, not too small - it's just right."

"We don't normally use butter and even more rarely at the table so we don't keep a regular butter dish - I don't like those long butter dishes. These are perfect to serve individuals you know like / want butter without putting out a whole stick. Its personalized and keeps it neat. Plus the small size allows for a few to put at the table so the butter is never far out of reach."
