Finally a great spice rack!
"This spice rack is just what I have been looking for. Wide mouth jars and a rack that can sit on the counter in a corner. Free spice refills each year for 5 years! I don't use all the herbs and spices they included, so I bought 5 plain jars for my favorites. The spices and herbs come sealed fresh. I may get a second rack, one for savory and one for baking."

Wonderful Item!
"This item is not only wonderful, but space saving and time saving. With the contents of each bottle written right on the lid it is easy to locate what I need quickly. And the space saving design is wonderful! I mounted it right on my wall next to my stove so there is no more clutter on my counter!"

Love it
"Received this as a wedding present and absolutely love it. It arrived with the spices in individual packages that were easily labeled. (Also get a set of free refills). The jars fit neatly into the shelves and the rack itself is attractive, compact and a definite space saver. So far, so good!"

Put some spice in your life
"The Spice Rack is attractive and will fit into any decor. One of the best features is that the spices arrive in their own sealed bags, which preserves their freshness. All you have to do is pour each spice into its own container and you are good to start cooking.
There is also a 5 year spice refill policy in place which is awesome."

Cheap Lids
"Several of the lids don't fit the bottles & they come right off if you grab the bottle by the lid (which is how you usually grab them). It's pretty fundamental problem, given that spice jars are supposed to hold your spices, not cause you to spill them all over your counter."

Not Impressed
"My fiancee and I received this as an engagement present yesterday. I washed all of the jars and lids and let them sit to dry. When I went to put the spices together today, I noticed rust on each of the lids. This was extremely disappointing to see!
On top of the rusty lids, I have found that with the plastic piece on top, the lids to not fit tightly, and on some,not at all!
I really do love Crate and Barrel...but this takes the cake! I am doing some rearranging of my registries, since receiving this gift. I'll be taking a good amount of kitchen-goods off of our registry."

classy, but minor problems
"I love the look of this spice rack, and you absolutely can't beat free spice refills for 5 years! Everything fits nicely, and the rack takes up very little space on my countertop.
My only concern is that the lids on the jars don't fit properly, so I have to be very careful picking up the jars so the lids don't come off. Poultry seasoning all over my counter isn't much fun! As another reviewer noted, it is also very difficult to remove the plastic cover for measuring or refilling. But beyond these structural issues, I love the convenience and style!"

Pretty to look at
"The spice rack was a wedding gift but unfortunately was shipped with some of the jars broken. It looks nice on the counter but unless you are sprinkling the spice, the inner plastic lid can be difficult to remove for measuring out exact amounts."

"this spice rack is a great space saver. the tops could be a little better quality. also, I ordered this online so I when I received it, I had to put all the spices in each jar. kind of a pain but I don't know any other way around it if you're mail ordering. overall great product."

"Love the spice rack! It's such a cheery way to display and have easy access to your herbs and spices. After storing them in cabinets for years and having to climb up on counters to be able to see to the furthest reaches of the cabinet shelves for our spices, I'm in love with being able to store them this way! LOVE this spice rack
"I have a small kitchen and use LOTS of spices. This rack sits neatly & conveniently on top of the back of my stove. I don't use all of the spices it came with but was able to use a labelmaker to relabel some of the lids with spices I use frequently. I also ended up buying more jars on the website to replace the large spice bottles that are still in my cabinet. Our frequently-used spices are now easily accessible and easy to find. VERY happy with my purchase!"

Fun spice rack, mediocre spices...
"My husband and I received this gift at one of my bridal showers, and we were so excited! A classy spice rack, that's not the typical plastic turntable style. And, as the previous commenter said, the problems about jars fitting is fixed, and everything fits perfectly.
My only complaint is that the spices that are assigned to this rack are a bit mediocre, with a lot of pre-mixed spices. My husband and I are avid cooks and love to use spices, but find that we rarely use the ones on the rack compared to ones we have purchased separately. Our plan is to buy more of the jars that fit so we can put some of our better used spices (curry, paprika, nutmeg, etc.) out for easy access."

"All of the previous comments have been fixed. The jars fit perfectly in the alotted space. I went from no spice rack to this. It is so much easier to find the exact spice you need. It looks great on the counter. I would get this for someone else as a good. I love mine!"

Worst Gift
"My husband and I received this spice rack as a wedding present three years ago off of our registry. We were so excited to receive this as we were really impressed by it when we saw it in the store - however, even though it is a great space saver on the counter the jars clearly do not fit in the tiered rack. We end up trying to wedge them in so they are forced into the space and don't sit correctly. Awful!"

Opening Holes are too big

Very Cute
"The spice rack came to me with a broken jar, but the Crate and Barrel rep sent me a new one immediately. I love all of the different spices. It is definitely a great starter spice rack set. My only complaint is that the bay leaves are not whole."
