"First platform bed I've ever purchased and was a little nervous buying online without seeing it in person but I'm very pleased. Perfect height, great color (it is a reddish tone instead of dark brown expresso as pictured), and solid build.
Took a while to get the bed delivered but was around the time it dissapeared from the website and now it ended up in the Outlet store so maybe that had something to do with it.
Very easy to assemble with another person. Could possibly do it alone but was quick with a friend helping. Have a drill ready to drill the slats into the bed frame. There are drill holes in the slats but none in the frame. Thanks to the earlier review, I borrowed a drill and was prepared.
As someone else mentioned, it may seem a little loose when assembling but once its all put together, its very solid and stable.
Overall love the bed and I ended up purchasing the matching nightstand. Looks very sharp and modern in my bedroom."

"The color of the bed is much more redish/brown then the dark brown/black it appears in the photo but I like the bed a lot sturdy the panel at the feet looks great and it was easy to assemble. Takes 10 minutes with 2 people.

Love this bed, just wish it was a little better

"My husband and I loved the look of this bed frame and purchased it right after we got married. We have had it for a little over a year now, and still love the style. It looks exactly as advertised. It was very easy to assemble, although we recommend getting another pair of strong hands to help since the pieces are quite heavy. We just wish it was a little better...some of the veneer is peeling away from the wood. It's just a small spot, and we think some wood glue should work well to fix the problem. Also, the frame is very squeaky. We need to remove the mattress and see if there is anything we can do to make it squeak less. Literally, if you are a light sleeper, just rolling over could wake you up. However, these minor problems are fixable, and we would buy this bed all over again."

"The bed has sturdy construction and is engineered well. The last bed I bought from Crate & Barrel was engineered badly; the frame was connected to the headboard at a bar that was hanging from the headboard which would make it break under weight, and the headboard and the footboard were constructed with little finger-like objects. It was bad. This bed is great!"

Beautiful, Sturdy Bed

"This bed is REALLY well made. It is heavy for its size but easy to put together. There were several screws that were to be drilled into the slats, but there were no pre-drilled holes. So I didn't put them in and the slats still stayed in place when I put my mattress on top of them. I get compliments on my bed all the time and would definitely recommend it to anyone."

Modern Asian style with flair

"I looked carefully for 6 months for an Asian style platform bed which would fit my son's style and his new small apartment. After reading all reviews and seeing the bed in person, I realized the Loop Bed was sturdy, well made and a great value for the money. We chose the dark shade. Installation was easy, with only one problem: The middle leg screw hole was too large. We purchased some wood glue and that solved the problem. My son had seen the bed at the store, and was a bit disappointed with the actual color of the wood: lighter and redder than the catalog shows and the assembled bed at the store indicated. However, we grew to love the lighter color (which is a medium brown with darker streaks) and believe it is more neutral than the espresso tone . . . do not buy it if you expect a near black, dark chocolate shade."

"I really should have had help putting the main frame together (my retriever doesn't count!), but I managed. The bed is beautiful and looks good in the guest bedroom. The boxes arrived wet on the bottom, but the bed was protected by EPS foam packaging inside so there was no water damage. There were a couple of nicks in the finish, but not in places that company would notice."

"I bought the entire Loop collection...and it put it together by myself! The day was long; however, the assembly was simple. I would suggest starting with the side table so you can get the "trend" of how the pieces go together. It is sturdy and wonderful furniture. I was not thrilled during the middle of the assembly, but now I absolutely love it and it was all worth it!!! The furniture is beautiful and peaceful. Enjoy : )"

"The bed is beautiful - nice solid feel and great looking. Looks fantastic with the Loop dresser and nightstand purchased at the same time. Easy to assemble. Only negative with ordering multiple pieces of "customer assembled" furniture is HUGE amount of styrofoam and cardboard left over after assembly. Too bad you can't return/recycle to your local Crate & Barrel."

"I was hesitant to purchase furniture without being able to see/touch/stretch out on it. I'm pretty sure there was only one review online at that time I was shopping, but it was very positive. So I bought the bedframe, nightstand and chest and I am completely satisfied with the pieces. I enjoyed assembling them (use a long Phillips or an electric one!) and everything lined up perfectly (I used a rubber mallet to bang/"lock" the lengthwise bedframe members into place)."

"I bought the natural version which has since sold out but the design is the same. Assembly was not complicated - one person could put it together but not recommended in case of damage to the wood surface. The only issue I had was that the holes on the base board were quite small and I had to drill them a little wider. Also to attach them to the bed, you have to drill holes on the bottom support pieces. But not a big issue. The end product is beautiful and definitely worth the effort. I will say that when assembled, the frame itself doesn't seem very stable - when you move it, it sways slightly from side to side until you put the mattress on top. The weight of the mattress is essential to the stability of the frame. Anyway, these are minor considerations - I've had the bed and the rest of the Loop bedroom set for a couple of weeks now and I still can't stop admiring it. Definitely a must have - and at the price, you can afford it."

"The Loop Bed is one of my favorite pieces of furniture that I purchased through Crate and Barrel. I love the minimalist look along with the contemporary elegance. I love this bed so much, I bought the matching dresser and night stands. Next, I plan to purchase the matching bench. Then my bedroom will be complete!! I just love Crate and Barrel!! Not only have I bought bedroom furniture I have also purchased the Galleria end table and plan on buying the matching coffee table to make my living room complete. I will be purchasing more products in the years to come. I highly recommend C & B to anyone!! :)"

Clean Lines, Sturdy, Great Products

"We were in the Boca C&B and came across this set which immediately caught our eye. OK, the price caught our eye first. We had been looking at similar products and this was by far the best price for the quality, look, feel. So we bought the entire set. Bed, dresser, nightstands, storage bench, mirror......everything!
Everything was delivered in boxes and that was the only nightmare. Literally hundreds of pieces to put together. Screws and bolts were everywhere! I called my salesperson who gave me the number to their furniture assembly service, Southland. They were out the next day and within 2 hours everything looked just like on the showroom floor. And they hauled away all the cardboard and packing material!!!!!
A very happy ending indeed! We'll be back as the product is great and service before and after the sale is top notch.

"I've had this full size bed for a while now and really like it. I didn't find it hard to assemble and while I don't suggest it, I was able to assemble it by myself. It has held up well over the past couple of years and I expect it to last well into the future. Its a good value for the price."

"We ordered this bed and we are extremely happy with it! Delivery was very fast and easy. The bed came in two boxes and all of the parts were easy to identify and organize. The two of us were able to put the bed together in less than a half hour. We did not need any special tools...just a screwdriver and a rubber mallot to make sure the ends fit tightly in the brackets. The bed looks and feels fantastic, very high quality for such a low price!"

"This is a nice bed. The design is simple yet elegant, and the price is great. It is a little difficult to assemble though, especially the slats. It would be very helpful to have guide holes in the middle in addition to the ones at 4 corners for the slats. The wood is very hard to drill inplaces - we broke a drill bit during the process."
