both sizes are very useful!

"we have both of these and use them both all of the time. other than the regular ladle uses, they are also great for forming meatballs and cookies and stuff. they clean up beautifully and look great."

"I have the smaller of the two ladles, and while it looks very nice (still shiny after almost a year and a half), it is TINY! When they say it's for sauces and gravies, they mean it. If I were buying one again, I'd get the larger one."

Pancake Batter, Yes. Soup, Not So Much.

"This is a very cute little ladle. However, I will probably have to exchange it for a bigger ladle. I intended to buy a big soup ladle, but accidentally got this. It looks like it would be excellent for batters or gravies. The measurements, 5.5" and 9" are in reference to the length of the handle, not the size of the bowl."
