Kingston Tall Cabinet
Show and tell. Classic design, quality workmanship, and a rich mahogany finish make these wood and glass display cabinets an elegant choice for open storage of books, heirloom china or other treasures. The square lines of the glass front, beautifully repeated in the wooden side panels, have a timeless appeal suited to traditional or contemporary styles. The tall narrow cabinet has a single glass-paned door and four shelves (two adjustable). "Looks very nice and is indeed high quality and sturdy for "some asembly required." However, the door is not mounted on the hinges square, and rubs very badly on the bottom of the cabinet - the few times we've opened and closed it its already rubbed some of the finish off. Not sure what to do . . . or if its worth keeping/exchanging for a new one. For this much money it should be spot-on. Seems that eveyone else has had good experiences with the cabinet."

nice addition to remodel

"I received the Kingston cabinet a couple of weeks ago and it was exactly what I needed for my bathroom remodel. The description and photos were exactly as the product appears. Assembly was very easy, it called for two people but was easy for one person to assemble. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that were 2 small knicks in the wood and since it is such a dark color they are somewhat noticeable. I am hoping a furniture pen will take care of them. Overall I am very happy with the purchase."

excellent quality & easy to assemble

"I love my kingston cabinet: the workmanship and quality is beautiful, and the assembly was very straightforward. I was a little nervous about purchasing something that required assembly (thinking that the quality might be poor), but this was definitely not the case. I have been very happy with my cabinet! I assembled it myself with my 13 year old daughter's help. Everything is perfectly square and lines up beautifully, even though 2 gals put it together! It now contains my AV equipment on the bottom shelf, DVDs, and the top shelves display vases and dishes that sit neatly in the groove against the back of the case."

"I looked at multiple retailers trying to find an enclosed "bookcase". This cabinet fits everything I was looking for. The shelves are wide enough for baskets, but also hold a collection of cookbooks. The product was easy to put together. I 'll now remember to check out Crate and Barrel when I'm needing other furniture with specific dimension requirements. Plus staff at St Louis store were very helpful."

"I have nothing but good things to say about this cabinet! Its design is elegant, its color is beautiful, and best of all it makes my boring dishes look nice. I was a little apprehensive about how "nice" the cabinet would look if I had to assemble it myself, but Crate and Barrel truly delivered on this one! Not only was it easy to assemble (I did it by myself, even though the instructions recommend having two people), but it looks like I bought it from the store. I knew I loved C&B, but it's like falling in love all over again!"

Looks More Expensive Than it is!

"The Kingston Tall Cabinet was the first purchase I made when I got a job with a good salary, and it immediately made my apartment look like it was owned by a "grown-up" with "real" furniture. In fact, I get compliments on it so often, and the few friends to which I have revealed the actual price of the cabinet never believe what I paid for such a nice piece. It also has the lovely effect of making everything inside of it look more elegant.
When my partner and I put it together, we found the parts clearly labeled and the construction strong; it was easy to put together.
Wonderful."

"We received the cabinet as a wedding gift about a year ago and added it to our rather extensive collection of C&B items in our home. This cabinet has by far the best craftsmanship and quality compared to other furniture we own from C&B. My husband is rather difficult to impress when it comes to these self-assemble items, but even he agreed it was very well-built and very solid."

"After renovating our master bath, I purchased the tall cabinet for extra storage space. It's perfect for bath towels, extra supplies and my favorite bath accessories that I like to display.
It looks great and compliments the existing vanity - and cost less than what the fancy bathroom shop wanted for a similar piece. Love it!"
