"I thought these would end up being seldom used when I first got them, but I've been shocked by how often I actually use them. They are perfect not only for parties, but also for a small bread plate, a quick spoon rest, a sandwich, muffin, etc. They are small enough that the cabinet real estate is negligible."

"These plates are the arguably one of the best things I've bought from Crate and Barrel. Their size is perfect, especially for portion control. They are big enough for a small snack, some fruit, etc. They are classy looking and have a really nice shape. These are a must have!"

"I originally purchased 2 dozen of these plates in the summer of 2008 and were quite happy with them, Despite minor unevenness of a few plates, the surface was still glossy smooth. I purchased an additional 2 dozen in December 2009 and every single plate had small pinhole dimples all over the plate. The surface was not as smooth and glossy as the 2 dozens that were purchased about 18 months prior. Needless to say, I returned these immediately. Very disappointed."

"I utilize these at every event I host. Just small enough to still juggle with your wine or cocktail glass yet hold a good portion. Sloped edges help to keep food on the plate, not on the floor. I have 36 of these and they have all resisted chipping or breaking (your mileage may vary). Shine up great in the dish washer and have run them through the Micro with no issues. I use these for desert plates as well."

"But not too small - keep in mind they are roughly 5" square. They are great for 2-3 crackers and a couple grapes, but nothing more.
