Multi-Purpose Rug Pad
This reversible, non-slip pad protects both carpet and hard floors. One side is fabric for use on carpet; the other is synthetic rubber for hard floors. Cushioned material reduces rug wear and makes vacuuming rugs easier. -One side is needle punch polyester felt; reverse side is synthetic rubber (see additional photos) -Prevents slippage -Will not stain, discolor or transfer to flooring or rugs -May be cut with scissors for custom fitting -Made in USA

Great rug pad
"I purchased a C&B rug pad for a rug I bought at C&B, and it has great cushion and does not slip. So when I looked to replace one of my other rug pads, I shopped around and found C&B pricing to be comparable or better than lesser products. I happily ordered another rug pad from C&B, and now my dining room rug has much more cushion and no longer slips. The quality is excellent, and I have confidence in my purchase. Rug does not slip
"This was recommended by sales associate and I find it works great. It does come a bit larger than the rug you order so you may need to trim, but overall it works great and adds additional padding which is nice."

Very pleased!
"I bought this rug pad to use with a rug over a floor that is uneven . . . old tile that has cracks and ridges. As advertized, this pad is indeed thick enough to make the floor feel even (and very comfortable) under bare feet! I am very pleased and plan to order a second one to use on a regular hardwood floor (this time, an even floor). Also -- I received excellent customer service over the phone as I asked questions about the different pads, trying to figure out the best one for my needs."

So far, so good!
"Have just put the rug pad down, so cannot comment on durability of the product. We had to cut about 1 1/2 inches off the edges so that it would be hidden underneath our 8x10 rug. The rubber back keeps it from slipping on our hardwoods. Rug lays nicely on the pad."

Great underpad
"I have had the the 8x10 underpad in my home for six years, and it remains in great condition. I was so happy with this product, that I purchsed two additional underpads this past year when I introduced two more rugs to my home. The 100% wool rugs in my home feel lush underfoot, in good part due to the quality and thickness of this underpad."

Great rug Pad
"I bought this to go under my Olin rug and I am so glad I did. Normally I get those rubbery pads from the big box hardware stores and they never actually hold the rug in place. With this pad the rug does not move at all and it stays down. No annoying flipping up all the time. It was a great price too - right around the same amount as what I would have paid for one of the rubbery ones. And the perfect size so I didn't have to cut it."

Good Rug Pad But...
"I purchased this pad to use with with a 4x6 rug purchased at the same time from Crate & Barrel. The pad is of good quality BUT... I had to recut (downsize) the pad to use with the rug as it was a tad over 4x6 which is big inconvenience. Crate & Barrel should know that pads need to be cut a little less than the actual rug size, never exactly the same size, and certainly never greater than the rug. Scissors will not cut the pad, and using a matte knife on it takes some time and effort."

"I think this is an excellent rug pad. I have it under a wool dhurrie and it really makes a difference in my son's room. The rug is a lot more cushy now. In fact, I just ordered a second rug for the other child's room."

Excellent! Well worth the investment.
"Great product! I bought the rug pad for my dining room. Normally I am a bit frugal, and would not have spent this amount of money on a rug pad, but then again I had just spent $1600 on refinishing the oak hardwoods in my house. One hundred bucks seemed a minor cost to protect my investment.
My point? Well worth the cost. Not only does my rug stay in place, but it seems to be water proof. I don't know that I would allow liquids to stay on my rug, but it did protect the floor from some minor spills during the holidays.
If you are looking for pad that is undetectable, don't buy this product. The pad is substantial enough where, particularlly if you have a thin rug, the rug has an 'edge'. People kept kicking up the edge of the carpet, because it didn't lay flat against the floor. It was an easy fix. I trimmed off about an inch or so all the way around. I haven't had any further problems."

Yea, it's thick
"This pad is indeed very thick and will keep a rug in place, maybe even through a hurricane. On the down side, because it is so thick you may have to do a little trimming. If it's too close to the edge of some rugs (particularly thinner ones), it will be all-to-visible from the sides. Too far from the edges and you may get a "shadow" effect wherein the edges of the rug droop down and the outline of the whole pad becomes noticeable from the top."

Best Carpet Pad Ever!
"These carpet pads are by far the best I have ever owned. We purchased several of these for our larger area rugs and they have been great. They not only keep the rugs in place, but they provide ample padding underfoot as well us uphold the integrity of the rugs themselves. Also, due to their thickness, I never have to worry about a spill soaking through the rug and pad and damaging the floor beneath. They are definitely worth the extra cost!"
